The hangout as such uh so we would like to know about a little bit of your background and uh how did you come to about to start a travel business and first of all I’d like to thank you know for giving a warm introduction from your side you know so that was amazing you know and uh to tell you something about my background uh as such uh
I’m a math coach you know and uh telling Hindi, English no problem with that no Hindi English Marathi Gujaratis uh I’m teaching from maths like from 16 17 years from now and brought up in Mumbai okay Mumbai city and uh traveled and
Maharashtra and all right you know the day and all so whenever he used to come home and you should tell me my friend had gone there and so that made me interested and then I used to foreign one time only I have traveled but yes your travel journey is chateau and I am very much thankful for my parents my especially my dad who encouraged me uh
At that time okay you can you do whatever you want and what makes helps me travel then I like to explore places I like to meet people this is the thing which I am it has kept me working in the travel industry and then like I will tell you afterward but this was something my background you can see my journey

And I was very much happy you know that was the first time I was traveling by plane I had booked my Manali trip you know and uh while going I was uh catching the august 201 which was reaching in Delhi next day and then while coming I was I had to book flights you know that was the first experiment I was very much happy you know flights
Or something like that and I was standing there and you know I always foreign what so it was like a very memorable trick you know foreign manuscript so it was very beautiful so that was one of my most beautiful
The trip so people are saying fantastic story you know nice to hear that etc like in I must tell you uh later quiz elena padega all of these stories are going to tie into you know tie into the finale a lot of these stories have had a major impression on his life so before we go into that finale let me ask you the other questions okay what was how are you like before the lockdown or
Before you met us you know the starter fat community and all how was the progression of your travel business and uh how was it going uh yes, to be frank, I was very much excited you know when I there are people who are coming with me to travel so when I thought this I thought okay I could help a lot of people but, to be frank when I came
Uh four years back so I could see that there was a lot of competition you know it was not so easy even though I had a good concept you know that that may not work but I started I kept my way and I got business through references mostly references business and I was local guys so local medication I had somehow I thought that you know I should start
And now people can easily agree because everything is now digitized even very easily and a lot of people can see but that might not be the case some years back so I knew that if I want to build a good business or if I want to help the people if I want to help the good community convert it you know because I don’t know what was the reason why but or maybe I might not be well professional I might be professional in travel but I might
Not be professional in uh knowing people keep what they actually wanted so it was not so easy we’re trying to tell you but yes I was managing the business was there for me but I wanted to make it a little bit in the big time simply because I wanted to reach a lot of people and I wanted to help them to know okay what actual travel is
Travel is not about only just clicking selfies and posting it on every you know that’s okay that’s good that should be done no I don’t want to check him back but at the same time you should know the time so this is some of the things I was very much interested in exploring new places so I wanted to explore that things and in this way

Digital my question is when all kinds of education and coaching businesses are going digital becoming a success very easy and very simple because the coaching is already there the students are already there you just have to connect zoom between the students and the teacher and then you’re good to go right so you it’s very easy to take an educational business online but why is it very important guys so if you’ve been
Watching you know carefully now you’ll probably be able to guess some of the things that will tie together why is it that instead of taking your coaching business you know uh pan India using maybe zoom or whatever why is it that you chose to focus on travel which is pretty much most people would think that it’s you know pretty much a dead industry during the lockdown, especially at that time when we first met right it was pretty
Much you know that people who just didn’t they still had the uh what do you call tolerance and sense okay we won’t travel for six months eight months at that time it must have been even more difficult decision to go into travel because people are just not willing to go so why is it that you focus on taking travel online rather than taking education online see first of all uh
Coaching what I’m doing okay it’s for my earning okay it’s really for my earning and that’s a good thing for me but travel is something that I’ve told that’s my passion I have I’ve heard from there now and I also think you know that work for your passion so right now uh I’m working out a passion
I don’t have to think anything else here even I don’t think about the incomes and all in this case because I know that uh obviously there are a lot of people may travel I have sensed or I have seen a lot of people okay there are things where people are traveling but they are not getting that exact essence of travel you know and I have seen a lot of smiles
When I travel I have met a lot of people where are you from wherever you’re from so this is in like uh I was in Oman and uh there what happened while returning from uh I was just in the immigration uh immigration a couple was there in front of me and they
I was amazed to listen to no the costume you need in travel that these people are not getting okay and I thought that somewhere on the line there will be a logo I should at least in some way or the other I don’t know how at that time I didn’t know okay right now we to them saying that you know these are the things you know which made me come into travel and that was the main
The reason at the same time so I’ve seen one question also like which industry shall entrepreneurs target you have decent income so see some people might say like oh you become a doctor or an engineer like that because there is a lot of money there doctors are engineers they are running low and they are not running also maybe that might be different reasons no because I don’t
Know so same thing with me also I knew that this is the industry where I can uh work I can earn at the time at the same time I can enjoy life [Music] the reaching point was not that much you know I could reach a particular segment of people but here I have a lot of the whole world where I can reach the people and so
The one thing is that no I I’ve had a lot of friends you know I was in Oman one night in our friends I’ve been Thailand however he will greet me like anything you know or even if he comes home I will greet him like anything so this is the thing you know that that made me uh to come into this business and I’m there in the I will be there in this industry for a long time
That’s my story regarding why I choose this Amar is commenting that it’s amazing to see and hear you and see that motivation of helping people at the ground level so to expand on that I would like to ask you what is it that makes you different in the travel business because there are big companies also they’re established travel agents probably many years older than you
You’re probably a new person you’re a couple of years old and then you said during the lockdown I want to take this instead of saying okay yeah okay your business you know the business is done you put more energy into it so what is it that makes you from a consumer standpoint apart I know that you have passion and everything but what is it that a consumer gets from you that they make the decision that
No, I have to go with Sachin yes first of all I would like to tell you enough because again I have been learning I have been a good learner than a good teacher I’m a booster still at this age also I feel that I should do so uh what makes me unique or something like that so it’s me casein as a consumer
Point of view just that’s what that’s the thing you know if you think that budget is a problem I was also thinking you know that cost training should be done but then I have seen you know they have they’ll never bargain with me no they’ve never bargained with me they’re direct yes
One of my clients he directly so I don’t want to just put in my head that when a successful peer it’s a very small thing but that’s what uh I think you know that I was thinking about it but then once they think you know that this person is good now I think they will uh rely on you so what makes me unique you know especially
As a more than motivation is the fears and fears will be like people won’t give up I think I’ve seen some comments like someone say asking about the budget or something like that, yes and I will say 80 to 90 percent will still people will think about the budget only although they might have money okay what they will think about the budget and why you know that’s the reason
So I used to make the plan and they used if you and they were not answering me you know so these are some of the fears which can happen with everyone and last but not least from February if you do a booking okay and if something happens you know we can guarantee you that your money will be held okay either through point system or we have some different results or you can book it for some other trip also in the future also in coming months also that’s the uniqueness the thing is that right now that there is no guarantee so these are some of the things which
Which makes us unique you know and that’s why from a consumer point of view or from a traveler point of view or to the frank I have seen these things know many is a bit higher and that’s why I want to focus much on all these points that’s what we are we are here as a period amazing so you have wherever you send people you have solid local ground

Was also exploring for my business because I knew and I was uh firm in my thinking that you know future will be like it will be like uh digital you know beat any business eat any business so uh how first of all I would like to tell you how I came into stand-up freed you to know that that’s very interesting you know because the thing is that you know what people
Are doing right yes [Laughter] might think that you are not interested in this video so I used to regularly comment where am I still my best studios first thing and the second thing I still remember that and one of them has helped me a lot you know one was that lynchpin
Model and one is the mind-muscle no what is the mind-muscle or I’m not going to tell you to watch that video but the thing is that you know the business we have to market you know but we have to get mindset so mindset and that helped me a lot and when I started this journey six months back you know I was like you know laptops that’s it the digital space at least 10 20 percent maybe what expert working 20 percent not more than that but I’ve been expert in that and I can very fast do some of the works which I couldn’t do
Because of that mind-muscle video, you know that so that’s something it has changed me a lot through this all right guys so a lot of people are asking I am going to have you wait five-seven more minutes, uh you know while we complete our discussion a lot of people are asking I am in the travel business what would you advise

Let me just go through a quick one uh jyotimo is asking we’ll just come to these questions in just a second how to balance quality of travel with cost during the slowdown I’ll just hold that question for just a second and for the travel consultant so people who are asking uh you know how yeah I’m a travel consultant how do I follow you know how do I kind of replicate some of your success so I have such India as a very
Special gift for everybody towards the end but just to give perspective just to give value because uh people are uh spending time with us on a Saturday nightlife so we don’t want to hold back a lot we just want to give it upfront what are the two or three elements of the start-up right program that kind of helped you uh make the change I know you’ve touched on that a couple of times but those team points if you were to just say in a point shooter
Format what would you recommend to other people who are probably also in the travel business okay fine see uh as such now uh we prank first of all I believe no that everyone should have a mentor okay that’s the first thing why because you know because there are some things, uh I’ve so I would love to know
Foreign one thing is very simple now I follow I blindly follow a person who can help me and who is generally interested in helping me and Mr. Rajat is from I really like to thank him from the bottom of my heart you know that he has really helped me you know in this case I don’t think so they could be me
Interesting that’s the one thing that’s that is not going to happen people are not going to come okay reference it because they trust you that’s the only reason but if you want new customers if you want new people okay then definitely you have to think in some way or the other way okay and I can say the Americans are very much ahead of us okay
So mostly India is like a most of a consumer then like an innovator, okay you know we will not try to do our own innovation you know so this is a system you may have system follow me I know it’s a very new system uh sometimes it works for me sometimes it doesn’t work for me also but I’m not worried about that thing so you know because as long as I’m going to work I’m going to
Know it’s going to work sometime or the other example foreign anything it will grow fast and you know how much tall the bamboo trees are and the reason for that you know what’s the reason for that why it takes so many years not just it takes four-five years
Things they are doing the other basics if you do the basics I will definitely know that one day or the other I don’t know it might be within six months one month one year or so yeah but I know that with this model you know I’m guaranteed I have that convincing conviction with me know that it’s going to work for me and again once again thanks to Rajat for helping me with this lean Startup model
