Hi this is Rajat here from Startup Frat, hello and welcome this is a very special video interview with one of our students from one of the academy programs our very own miss Rituu Sharma so welcome Rituu and in this welcome to all of you guys who are watching this video so hi Rituu how are you doing I’m good thanks thank you for giving me this opportunity to be with you and share some good things amazing stuff.
So uh I’m just gonna quickly interview you we’re gonna go all the way back to before we first met we’re gonna walk through what you were up to at that time and then what you’re doing right now and a little bit of the journey in between and then obviously we’re gonna want to learn from you what all has transpired and we want.
Thank you for you and taking it to forward my background is from exports I belong to the export industry I’ve been working in uh exports for almost 15 years and then uh during that time you know from my childhood I had this situation of creativity just to keep doing little things and during this time I because that uh creative passion was there so I started
Doing some type of part-time kind of thing so I used to create a lot of uh home decor and gifting products and I used to exhibit all these things part-time doing the job as well and uh gradually this uh pending as time came and like everybody you know it was a very uh challenging phase for me as well and uh during before even that time, I was you know thinking that let me fully
Go into my own fashion why not you know rather than just working for some company corporate so that was there already in my mind and when this pandemic happened I actually uh I would say it was fortunate uh unfortunate but then it was fortunate for me during the spending week I lost my job and then I thought that let me you know start doing this awful tragedy but then how and uh from where to start so I was
Looking someone uh I was making some guidance on it that you know how can I take it to the next level and then one day in April uh I was just you know scrolling down my Facebook and I saw one advertisement coming up and there was a webinar called and that was your call so I don’t know what they inclined me towards that wall I made up my mind that let me just you know hop in and see what exactly is there to for me
And honestly, my life actually changed from there the moment I attended the webinar because in the webinar I actually I’ve been looking you know listening to a lot of other people uh you can be successful in this manner and there are so many tapes and all these uh you know different videos coming up on Facebook but when I listen to your webinar
One thing which really hit me was because I’m not that tech savvy and you know I’m not a marketing person at all I’m not a salesperson at all so then uh when I listened to the webinar I really got that comfort zone that you know this is something which is for people like me who really don’t know much about marketing uh the product you know creativity is one part but then when you have to make a business so that
Uh those things you really need to understand and I was not that kind of a person so this was my inclination and then I decided to move forward and take up the course because webinar was such a big influence on me I really enjoyed it when I made up my mind that yes this is something which I really need to get into uh to make my passion into a
Full-fledged business so uh I took up the course and uh I mean from day one when I started with the first level of the course it is amazing, I would say that this is something uh which is you know which was very new to me and uh during this whole process it’s still a process I’m still learning
There are so many things that I’m learning every day so many things that are there I would say it is such a deep knowledge I would say it’s like an MBA course altogether so but I’m totally satisfied and uh I got a direction for my work I really got a direction for my work I started off with doing classes for kids and um I started with two kids and then gradually you know I started getting good responses
And uh doing all these technical things like doing glass and all was not my cup of tea at all so this all thing has been trained to be in the course itself that you know got all we really need to brush up on to actually get into the picture with digital marketing and you know a lot many people knowing you so that’s how I uh started learning all this and I’ve really got a good response because
People attending my classes were very satisfied and I’m starting batches after batches again I’m starting new batches so it was it’s really a blissful journey for me and I’m thankful you thank you very much okay for the people who are watching by the way I have my questions written down and she also has our answers written down so if you look down and consult
You’re not just perfectly fine none of us are like professional uh kind of media people over here so we need to consult I actually make videos I consult my notes and all the time no big deal okay so let me ask you this uh so do you feel because I feel the answer to this question could be very important right so I just want to point hit on this point so do you feel that you’ve become like a technical person now going through our program and everything like
You become like a total tech geek or something or how is it I would not say that I am an expert uh it’s a process I’m still learning I still have to do my autopilot course uh but uh till now whatever I have learned I’m uh you know I’m really able to use uh those things uh in improving my own skills so but then still I’m learning uh and the most important aspect that I would
Uh consider is you know you just have to start with the journey you just have to start I mean you just have to have that uh will and that confidence in you that you can really learn and do because see we all have till we live uh learning is a process so I’m on my journey okay great so there are certain aspects you understood that you know we have to
Utilize the technologies that are available because we need to expand our reach, okay you’re still not an expert you’re not a digital geek yet but you know you’ve gotten down the pro the journey of life not only the program and then I’m sure you will learn better more as you go along but
Now the reason I’m hitting on these points, again and again, is because I don’t want to give any of the viewers a wrong impression okay because this is what I truly totally feel that that digital is a tool okay just like anything is a tool like digital is tool money is also a tool right money by itself does not make you successful there are a lot of rich people who are depressed and a lot of rich people are frustrated with their life and all that
Right so their lives are going nowhere but they’re you know there are a lot of other people who are happy so by itself digital is not going to make or break your business it is just a tool that gradually you need to start learning because it expands your reach is that accurate by my standards yes perfectly because you know uh, I will tell you that uh with my even doing my classes and all you know this is these are all technical parts and even they
Can go wrong at times so it’s all about just doing practice and practice in practice because at times it happens with me that you know for one particular thing for one particular class, I have to prepare for let’s say four to five times but then I don’t give it up I don’t give up on it because I know that it’s going to work so uh that is how you know that is how you learn and expand yourself
Awesome okay that is great let me just quickly look up my list and uh okay now uh let me quickly ask you have you do you think that you have improved from a business standpoint the understanding of business as a whole has improved or how is it yes it has improved because the most important thing being in the community and uh
Going through the course uh the most important thing that has uh you know upgraded in me as a person is I have a really great gain confidence uh and it is the result of that confidence that I’m speaking to you one on one like this okay because before this uh it was very difficult to even think about that you know something like this also I can do so this confidence has I’ve really gained and uh that has you know taken me to a next
Level uh I can feel I feel that you know I can uh jump on from one step to the other now so that’s how I start I started with two-three different things at the time my god yeah so let’s go that was my next question let’s talk about your export like your new line of products let’s talk about that for a second can you walk us through what you’re up to now
Uh so uh what presently I’m doing is uh because I was always in exports so I have that export experience but then to promote my own thing and you know how to make it my own business so from exhibitions I’ve started uh a line of gifting products for exports of my own and along with that I’m also because I
During the spending, I started off with doing uh kids uh workshops and even for elders as I would tell you that you know I had a very good experience uh with the corporate world people because you know I coming from a corporate background uh because I had this uh inclination for creativity always so I used to whenever I used to get time I used to you to know paint and
Do these creative things but actually uh I realized that after so much of pressure in my corporate line when I used to sit and do this it was so uh peaceful and you know it used to de-stress me it was so good that you know I used to feel refreshed and the same thing when I started off with classes, yeah I mean it was just for the fun set I started with kids and then actually I started i
Planned some workshops for even elder people from corporate and there were people I have really uh you know gay uh taught them different things and they have really found it as a passion within them because you know there are some talents everybody has some creative talent in them this is what I see but then you know at times we really don’t know uh that it is hidden us or uh
We are not uh what do you say uh we are not um brave enough to take it out or we really don’t know how to do that so uh when I met people and uh it really um I when they share their experience it really destresses them and you know it takes them to a different uh opinion about the life you know mindfulness is there so you really feel good about it so that is the second thing that I’m doing and I’m
Really enjoy doing that so uh these are the two things and uh yes loads of work and a big journey to move ahead amazing okay so let’s go back and so let’s first kind of work on that point a little bit so I really resonate with you when you say that there’s something hidden inside you it has to come out it is your ideal self-expression I
Believe like your self-development because I truly believe in that and I think uh in addition to all this business stuff and commercial stuff which is what I’m like totally like a left-brained person it’s all about you know how do you put the mechanics together you know the the the money machine and all that stuff but I think the main thing is that if there is something hidden inside you that has been a passion so long
And you were never able to connect the dots it was in the background it was like your little hobby in a corner of your house or something right it was not in the center and you can actually bring it to the center and I believe that when you’re pushed against the wall that is when you end up with your best development and your best moves I think that adversity has brought out literally like the best in you very happy to see
That you are you know your friend I am honored and actually it could happen because of the community I would say because you know passion was always there but then uh feeling and you know blooming like this out and uh coming to a whole new world because I believe uh if creativity is there that is there but then you know uh digital medium has become such a big thing and uh that you know it has taken
The creativity to people around yeah yeah so I feel you know everything gets coordinated go hand in hand so you need to understand the technical aspect also which um I feel you know your course is designed in this way because it caters to all you know area of your life will be the technical part beat your passion towards uh whatever creative uh thing you have inside and you know generating uh confidence in becoming a
The better person you know that is very important uh just not getting mechanical at all yeah yeah so that is what I found uh something very amazing yeah progress outside has to be a result or a reflection of progress inside that is very very true solid that’s a great point just to kind of uh bring the focus back to a little bit back to my own story as well
Although I keep telling my story if not enough times in the hangout but when I was getting started like in the lockdown I started getting some emails from individuals saying you know can you like help us and all that and back in the day like when I’m mainly to corporate consulting I should think the man you know how can I help this guy like you know he won’t be able to pay me or something but
I think I did learn about how you know using the digital medium to help you get your message and get your art of craft I think my craft is the whole business angle and how to structure it to get your craft out to a lot of people which is great uh but also when I was starting out in just setting up this individual coaching journey which is the start of that community
I saw like the easy like I think I won’t call it easy anybody has an easy journey but like if you see all the ads right everybody is saying if you’re a coaching consultant author trainer speaker nice to say why is everybody saying that man and then I it figured because I did a few webinars I would run a lot of surveys in these webinars
And then I figured oh it’s because these coach consultant author trainer speakers already have a product they’ve probably already been selling in the offline world now in the lockdown they need an alternate path so the digital is providing them an alternate path to it and then I said what if I don’t want to do that man what if I tell someone is there something hidden inside you we will help you create the product out
Of it and then we’ll help you sell it right so I said okay let’s try let’s start doing that so I didn’t go down that path okay and it was you know I didn’t know what I was doing but I think I’m very very happy and satisfied when I meet people who are not nonsales savvy nonmarketing savvy nonbusiness savvy non uh products like they don’t have their own
The product they don’t they’re not technology uh because all of these are tools and skills sales is a skill you can learn marketing is a scale you can skill you can learn business is a skill it’s a mindset but it’s a skill that you can be that can be learned and the product is something that can be built the only thing that can’t be replaced is passion right so if you have all you need to
Come is with passion if somebody says I don’t have the passion or I don’t want to put in the work then I tell them I can’t help you and I get hundreds of emails today with from people who are not willing to pay the price for success okay like they say no I want to make money just give me the short answer and then I say why don’t you join the hangout you’ll get some free training you’ll come to know what we’re about and
You will be surprised the number of people who tell me I don’t want any more free training I just want the shortcut you will be surprised people still say that and I’m like dude this is the only thing you need to come with passion all the other things we can build so I think my mission has been more about if you don’t have a product if you don’t know marketing if you don’t know sales if you don’t understand business if you
Don’t want to do business but you still have a passion we’ll build all the other layers right and I truly believe this because I will tell you uh during this lockdown because uh without a job or something you know you already are in a very uh you know emotional setback kind of a thing but then you know I was every day painting but I never thought that that collection of paintings you know can take a um
You know a face of a product I mean I was really amazed and it could only happen this thought could only come because you know I was doing that course okay awesome so yes it is and I believe there are no shortcuts for anything you really have to work hard the more you learn and the more you progress yeah you really showed us all that I’m very very happy and I think I’m you know
It is something to be envied that out of all the interactions that we have in the 6 am club and all the other team calls I am the person who has gotten by virtue of your coach to see your journey most closely and I feel that that is something very special I think it is something to be envied because when you see greatness being born and by greatness I don’t mean like you have to be some multi-millionaire or something you have to be some major you know
A person who is influencing you know thousands of people or something it’s just like if you can break through your own psychological barriers and uh you know just take the steps necessary to come out there and expressing yourself and doing all of this then I think that greatness is being born and I’m the one who gets to watch it most number of times with so many people and the most closely by
Virtue of being the coach so I think it’s it’s you know it’s a place to be envied it’s uh my I’m in an enviable position that way I’m really honored for this because you know I could uh there were so many breakdowns you know but then still I kept on moving ahead so everybody has to think this that you know no matter what passion you have no matter what field you are from if you are there have you still decided with you on the journey
And if you have a mentor like uh somebody who’s always there to you know guide you on the right track yeah so it is very important you know you just keep sticking to that because you know uh nothing comes in a day so it’s it’s a process as I said that you know even I have not finished my course but it’s a process for me but then I never think that you know how many lilia then you know what let let it
Be no I will not let it be because you know whenever I get time I will try to complete everything and I know I’m very bad at you know completing my all these things but yes I could gain the practical knowledge and implement it that is very very important for me and uh it could only happen because you know even uh not doing the course incomplete but then every point I get a guidance from you and that 6am club is so amazing I can’t
Tell you because life is coming into your routine because of that solid solid awesome so uh real quick before we close down I think this is pretty much it and if you were to say uh I think you already gave the message which is to the people that you know if you have something hidden inside of you you need
To just that is one barrier you have to break the help is available guidance is available all the technical shutdown is available but you do have to take the first step you do and and in the end the journey and the price that has to be paid for success everybody’s journey is different I think you have broken through some pretty crazy barriers uh in the physical world and then even otherwise you know and you’ve really come out very happy to
Be part of your journey but if you were to point out three obstacles that you had and three things that you’ve gained from this community startup right in general as you see from from little bit of the large yesterday’s call in the whole community has been part of your journey now right so what are the three obstacles that you would say that you started with and what are the three things you’ve gained from the overall
The startup launch community okay uh as a person like I would talk about a person like me as a person so the first obstacle though I was very confident by working in exports but then when it comes to your own personal work and personal uh personality as such so confidence was one thing which was actually lacking in me this I can understand now you know after doing this course and
Becoming a member of this uh community then uh so I can see the difference in me so uh definitely one was confidence which have really uh helped me and I’ve gained the confidence second uh there are so many things going in the head but then you know I’m lazy I was lazy to implement them so uh that has really changed I mean being over here has ready because there was always bucking up you know yeah I have
Missed couple of meetings also but then you know back of my mind I used to feel that you know I’m missing something and I used to you know I wanted to join but then that laziness is gradually I’m not I’m not saying that it’s gone completely it’s gradually I’m improving on it and 6 am club is one thing which has happened to me which will uh which is actually helping me and uh
The third thing is actually like everybody has challenges in their life so they there are there were some personal challenges in my life as well but uh yes uh I have come out of it because only only because of my willpower only because of my belief and my hope that you know things will take a turn and I’m really really thankful to the universe because you know it is a universe who was working behind me and i
Got started for frat community on the right time uh of my life’s journey when I really needed it most so this is something I i will really have gratitude to god and I will really really have gratitude to my mentor because uh I truly look up to you uh for uh because I see that you know no matter how much busy you are whenever I put up a mail I always get a response so I know you know that that I have a bad support
To guide me always so that is something I’m really you know I’ve gained in my life okay thank you so much yeah so thank you so much for those kind words and just to not set incorrect expectations with everybody sometimes I do not I’m unable to give you a response but you will always get a response in one or two days max in two days probably so that is good that is great let me just check okay one more point can you
